Former NFL Star Jacoby Jones Signs With Monterrey Steel

Former NFL kick returner Jacoby Jones will play for the Monterrey Steel in the inaugural National Arena League season, according to the team’s Facebook page. Jones played with the Houston Texans, Baltimore Ravens, San Diego Chargers and Pittsburgh Steelers.

The Texans drafted Jones in the third round (73rd overall) in the 2007 NFL Draft. He signed a two year, $7 million deal with the Ravens in May 2012. Baltimore went on to defeat the San Francisco 49ers in Super Bowl XLVII that season. He last played for the Steelers in 2015, where he saw limited action before being benched.

The Steel are the lone team playing outside of the USA in the inaugural National Arena League season. They begin their season on March 20 against the Corpus Christi Rage.
