Offense
QB – Dan Raudabaugh (PHI)
Raudabaugh is in contention for the AFL MVP award in 2016. He has thrown for 4,303 yards and 101 touchdowns. He also thrown 13 interceptions, which may have had something to do with him not being named to the All-Arena First Team. Still, he is one of the best quarterbacks in the Arena Football League.
FB – Jeramie Richardson (PHI)
Raudabaugh’s teammate is second in the league in rushing with 321 yards. He is also tied for the league lead with 20 rushing touchdowns. He is just 78 yards behind the league’s leading rusher, Jacksonville Sharks fullback Derrick Ross. Ross didn’t make the first or second team.
WRs
Donovan Morgan (LA) – the future Arena Football Hall of Famer caught 113 passes for 1462 yards and 41 touchdowns in his final season. Each category led his team by a big margin. Unfortunately, Morgan couldn’t finish the season with a title. The Los Angeles KISS fell to the Cleveland Gladiators in the first round of the playoffs.
Collin Taylor (CLE) – Taylor is considered the best receiver for the Gladiators. He has caught 110 passes for 1,437 yards and 32 touchdowns on the year. Even more impressive is he has a touchdown catch in 34 consecutive games.
T.T. Toliver (TB) – another future Arena Football Hall of Famer, Toliver set a few records in 2016. He set the record for receptions, receiving yards and all-purpose yards. The Tampa Bay Storm, however, had their worst season in franchise history, finishing 2-14.
OL
Neal Tivis (PHI) – Tivis started 17 games for Philadelphia in 2016. This was not his first ride in the league, however. He played in 10 games with the Utah Blaze in 2013.
DJ Brandel (CLE) – Brandel not only protected Arvell Nelson on the offensive line, but he also helped put in the passing game. He caught just two passes for 11 yards, but one of those was for a touchdown.
C Wayne Tribue (PHI) – Tribue returned to the Soul in 2015 after spending a year with the Sharks after playing with the Soul prior. He has also played with the NFL’s Denver Broncos.
Defense
DL
Teddy Jennings (PHI) – Jennings finished fourth in the league with five sacks. Teammate Jake Metz, who landed on the All-Arena First Team, led the league with seven sacks.
Daryl Cato-Bishop (ORL) – Bishop tied the team lead with four sacks in 2016. He also tied the team lead with two forced fumbles.
NG Dimetrio Tyson (ARI) – Tyson lit up the Arizona Rattlers defense. He was second on the team with six sacks, .5 less than the leader on the team, Damien Borel. He also recorded a forced fumble.
MLB Dexter Jackson (JAX) – Jackson led the Sharks with 4.5 sacks. He was also one of eight players on the team to record a forced fumble.
JLB Terence Moore (ORL) – Moore didn’t record a sack, but he was still impressive. He was third on the team with 61 total tackles. He was also third on the team, recording two interceptions.
DB
Dwayne Hollis (PHI) – it comes as a shock that Hollis didn’t make the All-Arena First Team. He currently has 66 total tackles and is second in the league in interceptions – behind teammate Tracy Belton – with eight.
Marvin Ross (CLE) – Ross impressed a lot of Arena Football fans. He once had a steak over the season in which he recorded an INT to win an overtime game two weeks in a row. He finished the season with six, which led the team. Three of them went for touchdowns.
Fredrick Obi (LA) – Obi led the team with 91.5 total tackles, almost 10 more than the second guy. He also tied for the team lead with five interceptions, one of which was returned for a touchdown.
Special teams
K Mark Lewis (ORL) – although Lewis was responsible for the missed extra point that would have given the Orlando Predators a playoff win over the Sharks, he still did well during the regular season. He finished second in the league, converting on 4/4 field goal attempts. He also made 111 extra point attempts.
KR Larry Beavers (CLE) – Beavers makes the second team despite only taking one kick back all the way for a touchdown. All in all, he returned 91 kicks for 1,494 yards.
